I am also the Executive Director of PSIA.
Formally, I taught a variety of courses at Texas State University
in the Mathematics department.
At the university, I experimented with the Flipped Classroom method in my courses. I continue to
research ways for educators to use technology in classes, including Geogebra, Desmos,
and my own custom-built student response system
called Quizzer.
Additionally at Texas State, I mentor new lecturers in our department, provide support for all faculty in terms of class resources and syllabus updates.
Also, I wrote, maintain, and support the Academic Meet Companion, the program used for everything from registering contestants for academic competitions through to awarding the points after the contest.
